Air
China, the country's flag carrier, stated a 7.3 percent fall in its
third-quarter profit as a slowing financial system hurt business travel.
The Beijing-based airline said earnings go down to CNY2.94
billion yuan (USD$483.12 million) in July-September from CNY3.17 billion yuan a
year earlier, according to a filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange on
Tuesday.
For the first 9 months, Air China said profit was CNY4.39
billion yuan, compared with CNY4.69 billion a year previously.
A slower first-half in domestic business travel has consider on
major Chinese carriers including China Southern and China Eastern.
Air China is probable to maintain its guide over domestic rivals
due to its rapid growth of international routes, which now report for about 40
percent of its revenue.
